Licensed, English-speaking drivers who know the Lake Zone, the district roads and the northern safari circuit — and who have done your route before.
For most of our corporate and safari work, the driver is the product. Anyone can hand over a set of keys. What clients come back for is a driver who knows which of two roads to Bariadi is passable this month, who has dealt with a checkpoint a hundred times, who speaks English well enough to explain what you are looking at, and who turns up clean and early without being asked.
Our drivers are licensed, English-speaking, and assigned by route rather than at random. On the safari circuit that means a driver-guide who has run the western corridor hundreds of times and knows where the cats sit in the afternoon. On a field visit to Geita or Simiyu it means someone who has done that district in the wet season. On corporate work it means a named driver attached to your account, so you are not briefing a stranger every Monday.
A chauffeured rate covers the driver’s time, their meals and their accommodation on overnight trips — there is no separate bill appearing at the end for any of that. For companies we run monthly accounts with signed trip sheets and one invoice at month end, which is how most of the NGOs, mining contractors and government projects we work with prefer to do it.
Weddings and delegations are a particular case: matched vehicles, polished, drivers in proper suits, arriving before the hour you gave us. Book two or more vehicles together and the rate comes down.
Assigned by route, not at random. Corporate accounts get a named driver attached to them.
Signed trip sheets and one invoice at month end. How most NGOs and contractors here prefer to work.
Hundreds of runs through the western corridor, Ngorongoro and Tarangire between them.
The driver’s costs on an overnight trip are inside the quoted rate. Nothing appears at the end.
Every vehicle is available self-drive or with a professional driver. Rates are quoted per trip — tell us the dates and the route.

No. On overnight trips the driver’s meals and accommodation are inside the quoted rate. Nothing for them appears on the bill at the end.
Yes. All of our drivers speak English and Swahili, and on safari work the driver-guides are used to explaining routes, parks and wildlife to visitors.
On a corporate account, yes — we assign a named driver to the account so you are not briefing someone new every week.
Not required, but most clients take one. A driver-guide who has run the western corridor hundreds of times finds considerably more than a first-time visitor with a map will.
Yes, and it is regular work for us — matched vehicles, polished, drivers in suits, arriving early. Two or more vehicles booked together are rated better automatically.
